Chennai captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni said he is not the kind of batsman who start slogging from the word go. Dhoni scored his fifty in the tournament and contributed in his team's win over Deccan Chargers Monday night.

"I was struggling when I was coming down the order. I can't start hitting from the very first ball. So I promoted myself up the order, but the credit goes to the openers who gave us a good start. Deccan Chargers rely a lot on Gibbs and Gilchrist. We needed to take early wickets and capitalized on that.''

Dhoni though was not happy with the fielding of his team, who dropped many a catches and missed run out chances too. "We need to work on fielding. It's important in a low scoring match and batsman are doing, bowlers can do better," Dhoni said.

Gilchrist admitted that after losing three early wickets they had lost hopes of win.

Sara Watson, of the University of Central Lancashire, spray-painted a battered Skoda Fabia to match the car park and entrance to her art studio. And the unique work, created as part of her drawing and image-making course at the university, looks as if the car is see through.

The 22-year-old student had been given the car from a breakers yard, and then she worked for three weeks to ensure that it camouflaged perfectly with its surroundings. Watson worked three weeks painting the car to perfectly blend it into its environment as a project for her drawing and image-making course at the University of Central, Lancashire where she is a student. Her goal was to create the illusion that the car was completely see through.

She added: “People have been stopping in the street to look and coming up and almost bumping into it, so it’s had the desired effect.”

Govt Launches New Pension Scheme In Discussion With PFRDA India

Citizens of India will now have an option of securing their post-retirement life with the New Pension Scheme established by the Government under the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA).

The new pension scheme(NPS) will allow the fund investment of nearly 50% in the high risk stock markets. Meena Chaturvedi, the Executive Director(ED) of Pension Fund Regulatory Development Authority (PFRDA) confirmed the developments and said that it would be effective from May 1st 2009 onwards. Due to the elections, the new pension scheme was delayed since April 1, 2009.

At least seven people were killed and 20 injured when a local passenger train on Wednesday Vyasarpadi northern suburb of Chennai in a goods train collided with the injured, an official said

"The accident happened a little before 6 am. Motormen who conducted the two trains are being identified demand," a Southern Railway spokesman told IANS.

He said that the wounded in general hospital near the central railway station was admitted.

The identity of the deceased is yet to be done.

Director Selvah proved his mettle as a shrewd film-maker, who can handle remakes well with ‘Naan Avanillai’. This time around he has tried to recreate the magic with remake of Bollywood hit ‘Yes Boss’, which speaks about greed for money and war of emotions.

Though the movie dwells on money and romance, it does not proceed in a serious fashion. The film comes with a comic approach. A melodrama laced with humour, the whole story revolves around three principal characters played by Madhavan, Abbas and Mamta Mohandoss. Selvah has kept it simple and straightforward. It is an honest and sincere remake of Hindi hit. Unfortunately the major sore is that the Tamil version is more artificial and tacky.

Guru (Madhavan) wants to start a company of his own. He works for his boss Krishna (Abbas), who is a successful entrepreneur leading a happy married life. But the major problem for Krishna is his playboy nature. Guru hopes that his boss will help him set up a company so that he can also become a boss and make money. Therefore he does everything to please him.

Krishna falls for a model Seema (Mamta Mohandoss). Interestingly Guru also romances Seema. But coming to know that his boss is behind the girl, he decides to give up his romance to attain his personal goals. He goes hammer and tongs ensuring that Seema gets close with Krishna. But after a sequence of events, he realizes that he yearns and craves for Seema. Did he give up his love for making it big in life or go hammer and tongs to hold Seema’s hands forms the climax.

Madhavan has played his character well. He has enough scope to display seriousness, sad, agony and joy. Though he played it with delicacy, at many places, he looks very alien for the role.

Mamta Mohandoss has simply tried to do what Juhi Chawla did in the original. She has mimed her in body language and costumes too. Abbas as lusty boss has also done a wonderful job in this film. Vivek as Madhavan’s friend impresses in parts. His comedy in the company of M S Baskar is hilarious. He plays a woman resembling actress Saroja Devi is enjoyable. The rest of the cast include Brinda Parekh, Sona, Mayilsamy, Arthy and Renuka.

If songs were the USP of ‘Yes Boss’, ‘Guru En Aalu’ has half-a-dozen numbers by Srikanth Deva which are far from being impressive. U K Senthil Kumar’s cinematography is a major solace in the movie.

Produced by KRG, ‘Guru En Aalu’ is a more dramatized version of a simple theme, which fails to stick to our hearts.

Technology Review: Intel Announces New Processor Code-Jasper Forest

Intel announced a new microprocessor code named Jasper Forest.

The new chips will be aimed at storage products and embedded applications. They use the Nehalem-EP (Efficient Performance) architecture that Intel recently used in the launch of its latest generation of server chips.

The main modification Intel made for Jasper Forest microprocessors was to reduce the set to two chips instead of the three used in the Nehalem server family, a company representative said.

The input/output hub on Jasper Forest has been integrated right onto the chip.

Jasper Forest will come in a variety of versions and, including single processor core, dual core and quad-core versions.

Windows Mobile 6.5 phones still aren't expected to arrive until the second half of the year, but Microsoft sounds like it's ready to show off the new operating system next month.

Electronista spotted a post to Microsoft's Windows Mobile blog last week that said the company is planning to "launch" the new mobile operating system at TechEd 2009, scheduled for May 11. "Launch" can mean an awful lot of things in the business world, and in this case, it's likely that Microsoft is referring to the "release to manufacturing" milestone, when a product is made available to its handset partners for testing and certification.

Representatives from Microsoft did not immediately respond to a request for clarification on what will announced or demonstrated in May. When Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer discussed Windows Mobile 6.5 in February at the Mobile World Congress, he said that phones with the new software wouldn't be available until the second half of the year.

Mike O'Donnell's wife wants a divorce, his kids are remote, he didn't get the job promotion he expected, and everything else in his life has gone wrong since that magic year when he was 17, a basketball star, in love, and looked like Zac Efron instead of Matthew Perry. He's obviously a case for treatment by a Body Swap Movie.

Revisiting the trophy case at his old high school, Mike encounters a janitor who, from the way he smiles at the camera, knows things beyond this mortal coil. If only Mike could go back to 17 and not make all the same mistakes. In "17 Again," he can. He falls into a Twilight Zone vortex and emerges as Zac Efron. They say be careful what you wish for, because you might get it. Mike should have been more specific. Instead of wishing to be 17 again, he should have wished to go back 20 years in time.

Yes, he becomes himself trapped inside his own 17-year-old body. Same wife, same kids, same problems. As Old Mike getting divorced, he'd moved in with his best friend, Ned (Thomas Lennon), and now he throws himself on Ned's mercy: Will Ned pose as his father, so Young Mike can be his son and help out his kids by enrolling in the same high school again? Ned, who is a software millionaire and middle-age fanboy, agrees, especially after he falls helplessly in love with the high school principal, Jane (Melora Hardin).

Young Mike becomes the new best friend of his insecure son, Alex (Sterling Knight). Then he meets Alex's mom, Scarlet (Leslie Mann), who, of course, before the vortex was his wife, and before that his high school bride (Allison Miller). She thinks it's strange that he looks exactly like the boy she married at 17. He explains he is the son of an uncle, who I guess would have to be Old Mike's brother, so it's curious Old Scarlet never met him, but if she doesn't ask that, why should I?

In high school, Young Mike again becomes a basketball star, befriends Alex, and attempts to defend his Gothish daughter, Maggie (Michelle Trachtenberg), against the predations of her jerk boyfriend, who as a hot-rodding jock traveling with a posse is, of course, the last guy in school who would date, or be dated by, a moody girl who wears black.

I've seen Body Switches before (Tom Hanks in "Big"). The first act of this movie seemed all retread. Then it started to dig in. There are twin romances; as Shakespeare demonstrated, one must be serious and the other farcical. Young Mike is still seriously in love with his wife, Old Scarlet, and she is powerfully attracted to this boy who's a double for her first love. She thinks that's wrong. He knows it isn't but how can he explain?

Meanwhile, best buddy Ned courts Principal Masterson, who for the first time in his life has Taught Him What Love Means. Before her, ecstasy was owning Darth Vader's costume. I will not describe what happens the first time they go out to dinner, except to say that it's comic genius, perfectly played by Melora Hardin and Thomas Lennon.

I attended a screening held by a radio station, which attracted mainly teenage girls who left their boyfriends behind. When Zac Efron took off his T-shirt, the four in front of me squealed as if there were buzzers in their seats. Now that he's a little older, Efron has a Tom Cruiseish charm, and a lot of confidence. Why Matthew Perry was cast as his adult self is hard to figure; does your head change its shape in 20 years?

"17 Again" is pleasant, harmless PG-13 entertainment, with a plot a little more surprising and acting a little better than I expected. Mike is dispatched into that vortex by the bearded old janitor with a delighted smile. The janitor (Brian Doyle-Murray) is quite a convenience, supplying vortexes when needed. If his smile reminds you of anyone, he's played by Bill Murray's brother.

Sachin Tendulkar became the first Indian sportsperson, whose wax statue will get a place at Madame Tussauds. A girl from down south Tamil Nadu stepped into the glam-world of Bollywood alongside Mr. perfectionist Amir Khan in Ghajini.

It seems now the gorgeous lady is planning to hit all the biggies of Bollywood starting with the top three Khans of the tinsel town. Where she is starring opposite Bollywood’s bad boy Salman Khan in London Dreams, we have heard that she would also be seen opposite Badshah Shahrukh Khan, that too under the dream banner of Yash Raj Films.

Initially it was Bollywood diva Katrina Kaif, who was going to don this role but Salman’s dushmani with Shahrukh, earned Asin this flick. It’s not the first time and first girl friend of Sallu that our Badshah didn’t wanted to work with.
